Are you a working woman or a stay-at-home-mother?
I am both, says a working mother
I am both, says a stay-at-home-mother
Motherhood is a handful in itself, no doubt, but with some loving caretakers, life is much easier.
I resumed work four months after my son's birth and three months after my daughter's. Tough decision, but well taken. Now when I hear problems of mothers who resumed work after a year, with regard to their children adjusting to the separation, I realize it was a stitch in time.
Many mothers take a break in their careers, some others take a longer sabbatical - to each her own. Every woman is right in the way she thinks, in the way she wants things to be cause she knows best. With time, experience and some peer help, a mother can swiftly make the move to getting dual employed. All it takes is a little patience and a lot of determination.
I know of mothers who have had flying careers and chose to be stay-at-home-moms... And they are happy, very content. Eventually that should matter, shouldn't it!
Some words of wisdom:
- I was a working woman for years and now a stay at home mom..Loving it and its my choice.
- I am a PhD but gave up a corporate job and stayed at home to take care of my 3.5 yr old son.
- I have lot of degrees but prefer to be at home and keep my family happy.
Happy Moms - Happy Children! Kudos to all the moms!!
